His owner is very impressed with him. April 24th the same owner's Purebred black bay mare, SYNDI, foaled a black bay filly. TBA OFIR LUCY is 4.1% *WITEZ II by ELVIS. Linda was hoping for a black, but she is very happy with LUCY. Linda is very impressed by what ELVIS is siring and said we should continue to use ELVIS as our sire. We bred her Purebred black bay mare back to ELVIS, her due date is April 26, 2008.

May 18th ELVIS had a beautiful black filly out of KLASSI WITEZ BA 532725 for her new owner in Southern CA. (KLASSI is a black 15.6% *WITEZ II mare out of a black G AMIGO granddaughter, her dam a *WITEZ II granddaughter.) Liz wrote: KLASSI produced a BEAUTIFUL little black filly for us. We are calling her MERCEDES, as her star looks like a Mercedes emblem. KLASSI is a wonderful broodmare.

OUR HORSE TRAILER:

Late May and early June we sold our 1981 straight load bumper pull four horse trailer and 2004 Sunlight pickup 8ft fold-down camper. We were busy making our new horse trailer dressing room into our new Camper. A white 2001 Circle C 24 ft gooseneck 4 horse slant load, rear tack, carpeted dressing room, drop down windows and air conditioning. The front gooseneck dressing room area is a little less than 6' by 10'. We put knotty pine on the ceiling and walls in the dressing room. We installed unfinished oak cabinets, table, lights, refrigerator, microwave oven, sink, furnace, Porta Potti in the dressing room and cowboy shower in the front stall of the horse area.

HAYING:

In July we cut a little hay this year, since there was actually some to cut. There wasn't much ditch left to cut and there will be much less next year. A bike trail was put in past us and in time, it will continue for the next seven miles North. We would not have much hay to cut anymore, so we will buy our hay from now on. We sold our 24T John Deere small square baler & bale buncher and our 259 New Holland nine ft clean sweep side delivery rake after making only 280 small square bales, then we bought an additional 200 plus small square bales from neighbors. In September we purchased another 69 big square mostly brome grass hay bales, cut and baled in September. We are again back to draught conditions as usual.

NEW HERD ADDITIONS

SOLOANGYL WITEZ BA:

April 24th a little blue black filly arrived from WA. SOLOANGYL WITEZ BA 629045 is a 28.1%*WITEZ II PRESERVATION purebred blue black homozygous filly with faint star. Her dam was the late solid blue black homozygous mare, SERYA GLORY BE by the black SERYA RAVEN. Glory was "On Lease" to Finn and Dana Pedersen in Lakebay, WA to better enhance both of our breeding programs with GLORY's unique pedigree. GLORY produced two homozygous black fillies. GLORY's last foal was a blue black homozygous filly foaled June 12, 2006 by their 28.1% *WITEZ II PRESERVATION black stallion, HA SIRIBN WITEZ.

Sadly GLORY passed away the next morning, SOLOANGYL WITEZ BA was raised as an orphan. SOLO is a half sister to our mare, MAGGIE, being by the same sire. HA SIRIBN WITEZ (a NIGA grandson) and out of ANN MAGIC (a BLACK MAGIC daughter). We decided to bring SOLO home and retain her for a future broodmare, should we decide to breed her later. Or our future riding mare.

DANZEL WITEZ BA:

In July we traded BHR HOSANS KAPTAIN IAHA 2A 303514 PtHA 67455, our 1991 15.3 hand black tobiano pinto Arabian gelding and more for a Purebred black gelding we raised in 2000. DANZEL WITEZ BA, a 2000 black NIGA grandson out of a black NIGA and HAL GIBBY granddaughter. A very nice full bodied 14.3 hand black gelding with chrome. DANZEL looks like a black *WITEZ II with his star, snip and four low socks. Sire: Our late blue black NIGA son, EL NIGADIN. DANZEL was is last son foaled. Dam: Our late black DAMA WITEZ by NIGAS WITEZ, an English Pleasure Champion and out of a HAL GIBBY daughter.

DANZEL is 16.4% *WITEZ II with seven lines. He was used lightly as a stallion before becoming a gelding. DANZEL was only sold by his previous loving owner in Montana, because of the passing of her dear husband and friend in April 2007. We agreed as DANZEL's Breeders, that we would be very interested in returning DANZEL to his original home. EL NIGADIN had 79 foals and we no longer owned any of his direct offspring.

DANZEL was with our trainer for another two months of training. We have great hopes for DANZEL to become our new riding gelding.

TRAIL RIDING:

Our mare, MAGGIE was with our trainer for two months trained under saddle. MAGGIE did fine on her first trail ride. Actually I think she did better than that. She was very calm and even stood still for Lyle to get back on, when the other horses were much ahead of her. In July we took MAGGIE and FANCY to the Little Missouri State Park for five days riding. It is very tuff riding, high cliffs and narrow ledges. MAGGIE did okay, but sometimes we were not sure that she understood how serious it was, if she was to make a misstep.

Over all we are very pleased with MAGGIE. Finally we have after thirty some years of raising Arabian horses, our two Purebred Black Arabians to ride. Everyone always asked us why we were not riding Black Arabians, since we raised them. I would always have to say, that we needed to sell them to have some income, they were always the ones that sold first.

HORSE WHO WENT TO NEW HOMES

DANA WITEZ BA:

In June DANA left for her new home in Mocksville, NC. DANA WITEZ BA, a 1995 blue black NIGA granddaughter out of black NIGA and HAL GIBBY granddaughter. Sire: Our late blue black NIGA son, EL NIGADIN. DANA is an image of her sire. Dam: Our late black DAMA WITEZ by NIGAS WITEZ, an English Pleasure Champion and out of HAL GIBBY daughter.

DANA is 16.4% *Witez II with seven lines. DANA is in foal by EOPOLUS, our Pure Polish Black Homozygous Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes Nominated stallion. Jo said that she bought DANA as a birthday gift for her husband. He is very happy, that he is finally getting his black mare. DANA is due to foal March 30, 2008. October 15th.

DALIN WITEZ BA:

DALIN WITEZ BA601587 an extremely typey 14.3 1/2 hand 2003 black filly left for her in home in Visalia, CA. Her Sire: An EL NIGADIN son out of a black G AMIGO granddaughter, her dam a *WITEZ II granddaughter. A full brother of DALIN's sire was a very successful Cutting horse in All-Breed and Arabian competition. He was especially good against the Quarter Horses. Dam: Our late black DAMA WITEZ by NIGAS WITEZ, an English Pleasure Champion and out of HAL GIBBY daughter.

DALIN is 18.4% *WITEZ II with eleven lines. We thought the crossing of our late black foundation extreme type mare, GENESIS KOHLI with our late extreme type black mare, DAMA WITEZ would produce something that looked like her dam, DAMA and her granddame, KOHLIi. We were right. We knew somebody someday would appreciate this extremely beautiful black filly. Pam writes that she really loves DALIN and that she is even prettier in person. DALIN is refined with a very typey head. DALIN is very smart and will be a challenge, which is what she likes. Pam writes that DALIN is making great progress!

October 26th GOLDIN went Under Contract to Purchase to Nancy of Durbanville, South Africa. Dave and Nancy are currently serving as missionaries in S. Africa.
